Network Engineer

OTA is seeking a skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, configuring, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining a wide range of network infrastructure and services to ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability. This role requires advanced knowledge of LAN, WAN, and various network technologies, with a preferred certification level equivalent to Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or similar.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain copper and fiber cabling across 39 IOS networks
Manage switching technologies including Access Ports, Trunk Ports, VLANs, Native VLAN, Private VLAN, Multicast, STP, MAC, CAM, and CEF
Configure, install, and maintain routers with various routing protocols (Static, Dynamic, OSPF, EIGRP, IS-IS, BGP) and support Quality of Service (QoS) technologies like DSCP
Configure, install, troubleshoot, and maintain firewalls, access control lists, and zone configurations
Implement and maintain encryptors, including Tactical LAN Encryptors (TACLANE)
Ensure all network systems are up-to-date with the latest software updates, security patches, and implement Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
Implement and maintain network monitoring and management systems, including GEM One, SolarWinds, Cisco ISE, DNA Center, and NetFlow
Manage security and authentication services, including Cisco ISE, TACACS/TACACS+, RADIUS, SSH, AAA, VPN, and Access Control Lists
Design, configure, and maintain IP address management services, including Manual Addressing/Subnetting, DHCP, DNS, NAT, IPv4, and IPv6
Configure, install, troubleshoot, and maintain device management protocols, such as FTP/TFTP, Syslog, SNMP, SCP, NTP, and CDP/LLDP
Support and maintain phone systems, including VOIP, VOSIP, and Analog POTS
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain Desktop VTC Systems
Create and maintain detailed documentation for installations and changes, including Layer 1, 2, and 3 diagrams, rack elevations, and protocol lists
Oversee Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS) in communication closets, including monitoring, battery replacement, and unit replacementL
Configure, install, troubleshoot, and maintain long-haul communications equipment, such as multiplexers, switches, routers, and demarcation points
Perform circuit actions including procuring new circuits, maintaining circuit history folders, submitting Telecommunications Service Requests (TSRs), and complying with Telecommunications Service Orders (TSOs)
Required Qualifications
Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
Bachelor's Degree or approved equivalent experience
IAT/M Level II
Minimum of 4 years of cyber and/or information technology duties and experiences
