Audio/Video Engineer

OTA is looking for a knowledgeable and skilled Audio/Video Engineer to design, install, maintain, and support A/V and networking systems. This role involves managing A/V systems, CCTV systems, and network infrastructure to ensure smooth and efficient operation. Similar roles may include Technical Support Specialist, Network Operations Specialist, Enterprise Architect, Systems Developer, and Systems Requirement Planner.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities
Apply networking concepts with knowledge equivalent to certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate and Crestron Technician
Design, implement, and maintain networks using best practices, including 2-Tier and 3-Tier models, and implement First Hop Redundancy for improved performance and reliability
Design, install, troubleshoot, splice, and terminate all copper and fiber cables across 39 IOS networks
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain a wide array of A/V systems, including cameras, NVX and DM-NVX encoders, digital signal processors, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, televisions/displays, servers, switches, and routers
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) systems, including cameras, microphones, speakers, amplifiers, displays, servers, switches, and routers
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain A/V hardware and software such as Crestron, Christie Spyder, Christie Controller, Bosch, Dante, Jabber, WebEx, and various codecs
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain touch panels used for A/V system control and user interface management
Install, troubleshoot, maintain, set up, and schedule Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems for reliable, high-quality communications
Maintain and organize the recording system, ensuring inventory control of all recordings
Design, configure, install, troubleshoot, and maintain network switches and switching technologies, including Access Ports, Trunk Ports, VLANs (Native and Private), Multicast, STP, MAC, CAM, and CEF
Create and maintain detailed documentation for all A/V and network installations and modifications, including Layer 1, 2, and 3 diagrams, boundary and core structure, distribution and access layouts, rack elevations, and port/protocol lists
Required Qualifications
Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
Bachelor's degree or approved equivalent experience
4 years of cyber and/or information technology duties and experiences related to A/V systems
A/V Certification (e.g. Certified Technology Specialist, Crestron Technical Institute Certifications, e.g. Technician/Field Engineer, Programmer, Core)
