OTA is seeking a Cyber Training Manager and Faculty Development Specialist to manage and oversee the installation, operation, and maintenance of the Cyber Training Range Environment (CTRE). This is a train the trainer role and involves purchasing, configuring, and integrating CTRE hardware and software to support individual hands-on training for Cyber Weapon Systems (CWS) and related work roles. Additionally, the candidate will support faculty development, instructional design, and continuous learning programs to enhance the quality of instruction and educational outcomes.
The ideal candidate will possess expertise in cybersecurity frameworks, instructional methodologies, faculty development, and program management, ensuring the seamless execution of training operations and curriculum delivery.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities
Purchase, install, and maintain CTRE hardware and software, ensuring compliance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF), STIGs, and Approved Product List (APL) standards for classified and unclassified networks
Ensure equipment has a six-year lifecycle, aligning with HVAC, electrical infrastructure, and space requirements without modifying the building's infrastructure
Maintain compatibility with current CTRE hardware, AFNET systems, and AF Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) platforms
Manage virtual machine configurations to align with CWS and Joint platform requirements
Provide the capability to run simultaneous training across three 30-student classrooms, supporting up to 60 staff and 30,000 virtual machines
Ensure seamless data replication across the CTRE mesh network without reprogramming or translation
Provide real-time troubleshooting and component replacement to minimize training disruptions
Scale operations to meet tasking requirements at multiple locations and across different classification levels
Conduct live backup and restore operations across the CTRE mesh network to ensure system redundancy
Required Qualifications
Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility
Associates Degree
CCAF Instructor of Technology & Military Science Degree and/or proof of the following courses: Collegiately Accredited Instructional Methods Course (BIC, IMC) awarding minimum 3 Semester Hours
Air Force ISD Course(AETC ADDIE or Approved Equivalent Course)
