Summary
Air Domain Subject Matter Expert responsible for the integration of full spectrum (USAF) air capabilities into multi-domain scenarios/mission threads that support the U.S. Army Joint Modernization Command's worldwide, multi-echelon, joint and multi-national future force live, virtual, and constructive simulation experiments.
The ideal candidate must have USAF operational experience and knowledge with regards to how Master Scenario Events Lists (MSELs) and joint and multi-national operational/theater-level scenarios/mission threads support the following areas: Operations, Plans, Command and Control (C2) Command Authorities, Fires, and Integrated Air and Missile Defense/Ballistic Missile Defense.
Additionally, the ideal candidate must have performance-based Operational-level experiment/exercise experience, which includes the full spectrum of (USAF) air operations support tasks required in the conduct of simulated and real-world events (local, remote, distributed, live, virtual, and constructive; friendly, neutral, and threat air forces). These tasks include but are not limited to: experiment/exercise concept development, planning, scenario/mission thread development, event response and control cells, assessment, as well as supporting development of the future-force air domain within a joint experiment/exercise environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supports and assists with the management and development of experiment/exercise documents to include Air Tasking Orders, Air Coordination Orders, coordination cards, communication cards, Master Scenario Event List (MSEL), SPINS, aircraft SCLS, TBMCS, etc.
Ensure (USAF) air scenario/mission thread elements, storylines, and MSELS are linked to appropriate simulation activities and databases, Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) stimulus, order of battle rosters, and other supporting technical or operational means as necessary to satisfy experiment/exercise objectives.
Provide (USAF) air expertise and support on applicable tactical and operational-level joint, multi-national and USAF doctrine associated with experiment/exercise planning/execution.
Participate in the development of (USAF) air domain related After Action Reports based on observations of operational unit/role players during experiment/exercise execution.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Required Education/Skills:
U.S. citizen with a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree.
Ten years of USAF air operations experience.
Five years of experiment/exercise scenario/mission thread development and MSEL writing experience.
Desired Qualifications/Skills:
Former 805th Combat Training Squadron (Shadow Operations Center [ShOC-N]; Nellis AFB), 505th Combat Training Group (Nellis AFB), or 505th Combat Training Squadron (Hurlburt Field) staff officer.
Recent experience in theater-based joint and USAF future force air-power experiments, live/virtual wargaming, and exercise/event planning.
Former USAF rated officer (Pilot, Combat System Officer, Air Battle Manager).
Former Air Operations Center, Joint Air Operations Center, Combined Air Operations Center (Combat Plans Division and/or Combat Operations Division) staff officer experienced in Air Tasking Order (ATO) and Airspace Control Order (ACO) production.
Graduate of one or more of the following courses: Air Operations Center Initial Qualification Course (AOC IQT), Joint Air Operations Command & Control Course (JAOC2C), C2 Warrior Advanced Course, Joint Firepower Course (JFC), EAB Airspace Course (EABAC).
Security Clearance:
DoD Top Secret (eligible)
