Description: Join the exciting Components Engineering team, which is the in Parts Materials and Processes Engineering department, as a Components Engineer. The team is a cornerstone to our design, production, and sustainment programs.
What You Will Be Doing
You will be responsible for providing Components Engineering support as a technical expert for electrical standard parts as well as providing part support (cables, wiring, connectors, fiber, switches, backshells, etc...) to Lockheed Martin Aeronautics programs. You will get the opportunity to work on the F-35 aircraft program, as well as work in a very dynamic work environment with a lot of opportunity for growth.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting conceptual and layout design phases with standard parts expertise.
Promoting product quality through qualification of suppliers, maintenance of authorized supplier list, and coordination with quality department on standard part quality issues.
Mitigating part procurement schedule impacts through vendor coordination, technical inputs, alternate suppliers, action request resolution, and substitution documentation.
Supporting production through investigation and resolution of standard part related issues impacting manufacturing. Maintain awareness of the technical and business state-of-affairs for standard part industries.
Maintaining standard parts tool for quick identification and selection of standard parts and ensure standardization across Lockheed Martin and suppliers.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
8+ years of experience working with military aircraft, electrical systems and component part selection
Knowledge of Component MIL drawings, standards, test specifications, and associated QPLs and QMLs
Desired Skills:
Catia or 3DX Modeling experience
Familiar with SAP (System Analysis and Program Development)
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
