Description: We are Lockheed Martin
Provide engineering software system development and maintenance for the Integrated Fighter Group (IFG) Loads & Criteria Team to support their Aircraft Structural Integrity Programs (ASIP). Position responsibilities will focus on engineering software development and information system design, development, and implementation. This position will work on development and maintenance of several software systems within the team portfolio, both individually and as part of the Agile team.
Responsibilities will span the technology development lifecycle including requirements generation and process definition, software design, development, integration, test, and documentation. Main tasks will include updating current engineering analysis tools and processes and creating new tools and applications for the IFG Structural Integrity team, utilizing state-of-the-art techniques in the areas of multi-threaded user applications, database design and optimization, and numerical methods.

Basic Qualifications:
-Engineering degree in aeronautical, mechanical, or computer science.
-Working knowledge of C/C++, C# or Java
-Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills:
Experience with software development utilizing Java, C/C++, C#, .NET, VBA and XML
Experience with Object Oriented programming techniques
A background in both aeronautical engineering and computer science/software development
Experience with commercial databases such as Oracle and MS SQL Server
Experience in developing web-based systems
Experience in developing engineering analysis systems
Experience developing software in the Agile environment
Knowledge of the Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP) under MIL-STD-1530
Knowledge of the Fortran language

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
