Job Description:
Qualified candidate should possess engineering experience to provide system level engineering guidance and leadership to contributing disciplines within a Secure Access Controls systems engineering group.
Essential Functions:
Ability to communicate clearly (written and verbal) to technical and non-technical personnel.
Able to read, interpret, create, and maintain spreadsheets, charts, reports, investigation and test plans, and procedures.
Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
Candidate should be able to perform systems level requirements, design, test, and integration of Communications systems on various air and ground platforms.
Interfaces with the customer to determine system specific requirements.
Coordinates with various engineering disciplines to produce hardware and software systems requirements.
Design, configure, and test Secure Access Control systems.
Design and engineer comprehensive access control solutions that integrate with existing security infrastructure.
Conduct risk assessments and security evaluations to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend enhancements.
Develop and maintain system documentation, including design specifications, installation instructions, and standard operating procedures.
Job Qualification Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
An active DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret (SCI) security clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
Experience as a Systems Engineer.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Experience presenting design and project information at periodic reviews as well as recommending improvements to existing designs.
Experience in Software coding and development.
Experience writing systems and software requirements using an application such as DOORS/JIRA.
Be comfortable handling a large amount of classified material.
Knowledge of systems engineering concepts, practices, and procedures.
Familiarity with networking technologies, to include Security+ certification.
