PROGRAM SUMMARY:
The Diplomatic Platform Support Services (DiPSS) works in support of the Department of State to provide medical support services. The primary scope of this program is to execute medical support services at the United States Embassy and adjacent facilities in the Middle East.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sr. Operations Manager works with general autonomy and manages significant government services project(s) within the scope of general financial/administrative functions or program guidelines set by the Program Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversees and manages the daily activities of the organization's operations. Executes company policies, procedures, and initiatives.
Reviews and improves existing operational systems.
Tracks performance in relation to operational objectives and creates reporting and auditing systems to assess operational efficiency.
Collaborates with other departments to ensure smooth coordination of operations.
Contributes to strategic decision-making impacting the area of responsibility.
Assists in the development of budgets and forecasts.
Handles escalated issues arising from operations, working in conjunction with other departments when necessary .
Applies knowledge of quality systems and tools to validate and verify contractually required standards for project execution.
Implements principles of performance evaluation and prediction methods are used to improve product systems safety, reliability, and maintainability.
Responsible for maintaining quality standard of procedures that go into work scope.
Aligns quality management function with the performance needs of product lines.
Manages the delivery of functional objectives by providing leadership and direction to team members.
Participates in the development of functional strategy and may be responsible for global processes and procedures.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current U. S. Driver's License.
Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and/or 9+ years of experience
Must meet KBR and Government mandated pre- deployment requirements including, but not limited to drug screening, medical screening, dental release, and criminal background check.
Must be able to lift 50lbs
Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 13 months of remaining validity AND 6 blank visa/stamp pages remaining
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English fluently
Candidates must also meet CENTCOM MOD (Fit for Duty) theater requirements.
Must currently possess or be able to obtain prior to being hired as is required for this position a U.S. Government (USG) issued Secret security clearance and/or a favorable USG Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT). Must maintain eligibility at the required clearance or certification level for the duration of the task order.
