Position Description:
Seeking senior AWS data engineer for large healthcare client's Data Platform and Analytics engineering (DPaAS) team, to build out (or enhance) data platform services, utilizing core AWS services. This individual needs to provide functional expertise and guidance for key data projects within DPaAS within the realm of data architecture and engineering.
The candidate will bring expertise and industry standard methodologies to define better development practices. Extensive hands-on experience in data architecture and design, in the realm of data engineering is an absolute must-have. This role will collaborate with various levels of stakeholders to help articulate and influence the technical direction of data projects; individuals need to possess combination of systems and technology experience, along with strong thought leadership skills, to make balanced functional design decisions, that deliver key enabling features to support major initiatives across healthcare finance.
Required engineering skills include designing and architecting data platforms with AWS Redshift, Postgres, Oracle RDS and the usual stack of serverless AWS services, with an in-depth understanding data integration (including by not limited to data transformation and data warehousing).
This role needs be located at our Lafayette, LA (Preferred), Bloomfield, CT or Denver, CO, working in a hybrid model.
Your future duties and responsibilities:

Gather and assess requirements to accurately translate into optimal data and analytical solutions
Author data functional-design and lineage documents that are comprehensible to end users and technical teams
Perform comprehensive data analysis, data lineage & data mining leveraging available tools to summarize results /insights
Design and develop data pipelines for high-quality enterprise data delivery
Prototype proof-of-concept for the given task using iterative software development techniques
Develop reports/dashboards utilizing SQL and BI tools for data reconciliation and accuracy
Required qualifications:
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
8+ years of diverse technology experience in data architecture, engineering and DWBI implementation
4+ years extensive hands-on agile-development experience in AWS services leveraging the AWS Well Architected Framework
Possess current AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification
Understand management principles in data architecture, data modeling/design, data quality, data security, data operations
Experience in customization & implementations of data warehouses using ETL and BI reporting tools
In-depth understanding of BI and scalable data architectures
Design dimensional models, solid relational database and data warehouse experience (AWS Redshift & Oracle)
Design and develop report/dashboard development with SQL, PL/SQL in Tableau & ThoughtSpot
Desired Experience:
Experience using Jira, Confluence, and other productivity tools
Education - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to: skill set level; experience and training; and licensure and certifications. CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $76,300- $146,800.
