Modeling and Simulation Engineer Stf - Advanced Programs - Level 4
This exciting position is with our historic Skunk Works program. Skunk Works is an integral part of Lockheed's Aeronautics business area responsible for advanced systems development including conceptual design and rapid prototyping of clean sheet solutions and improvements and derivatives to existing systems.
The ideal skunk is an agile, multifaceted teammate who loves to solve our customer's most difficult challenges. Some of our unclassified projects include the U-2, SR-71 Blackbird, F-22 Raptor, F-117 Nighthawk, and the F-35 Lightening II.
What You Will Be Doing
As a System Field Engineer you will provide technical advice and guidance on installation, adaptation, configuration or enhancement of company technical products, programs and systems. Provide expertise for resolving technical problems, troubleshoots products and modifies them to customer requirements. Provides training to customers.
The candidate will be an integral member of a technical support team responsible for creating, analyzing, and managing computer models and virtual environments for C4I software and systems. Create, test/validate simulation components of a complex mission system during operations and will be able to confer with a broader engineering team regarding anomalies in system operation and provide root cause analysis.
Must be willing to travel periodically to remote locations, some in austere conditions.
Candidate must obtain required medical clearance for these locations.
Top Secret security clearance within the last 6 years with current SBI required

Basic Qualifications:

Experience with map and terrain data
-
Advanced experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and best practices; production of Terrain Database (TDB) modeling systems and format

Advanced experience in ArcMap and ArcGIS

Active Top Secret Clearance
Desired Skills:

Possess strong attention to detail with ability to work systematically to complete project requirements

Experience with C4I systems regarding administration, integration, interoperability, and architecture

Highly analytical, customer focused, and structured, with positive relationship and strong communicative skills

Understanding of image generator and game engine pipelines, technologies, principles, best practices, and limitations

Advanced experience with virtual products (MetaVR/MVRsimulation, Unreal, Unity)
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
