The Healthcare FP&A Data Advisor role will support the unique data, modeling, and analysis needs of the FP&A team. They will have stewardship of curated input/output data sets from the FP&A quarterly projection and monthly financial close models (including scheduling/running certain periodic ETL processes). Stewardship includes maintaining data documentation and working with the more general data and analytics teams to ensure alignment and interoperability. They will also act as a consultant to others in the MA FP&A space on best practices for model/data governance and deep dive root cause analysis on emerging financial results. The advisor will work with various teams including, but not limited to, FP&A centralization, Market Finance, Pricing, Reserving, Operations, and external Audit Firms.
Responsibilities:
Understand, document, and maintain the FP&A database and data ecosystem.
Run or automate/schedule periodic ETL processes (some of which may be models owned by peer teams).
Develop new analytical tools and resources.
Enhance the team model governance framework and support the FP&A team in adhering to the framework.
Consult on optimizing and troubleshooting complex MS Excel and SQL-based models.
Assist in coordinating and documenting financial analysis projects and/or financial reporting.
Help peer teams analyze and identify trends, variances, and key issues.
Assist with ad hoc projects/requests.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Business, Economics or Finance preferred.
ASA, FSA, MBA, or CPA are a plus (but not required).
4+ years in a financial or a highly analytical position
Experience working with medical claims data within healthcare, health services or insurance industries
Must have experience with data extraction/manipulation via SQL and strong Excel modeling/analysis skills. Familiarity with R or Python are a plus (but not required).
Excellent judgment, communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
Understanding of or experience with financial projections .
Experience in a highly-regulated business environment.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 93,100 - 155,100 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
