We are pleased to announce an opening for an System Protections Engineer who will join our Engineering Services Team in Huntsville, AL and become part of our rapidly growing technology company operating in missile defense, cybersecurity, test range modernization, and space control marketspaces. Qualified candidates will be part of an exceptional team supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) mission to develop and deploy a layered Missile Defense System to defend the United States, its deployed forces, allies, and friends from missile attacks in all phases of flight.
Responsibilities:
The System Protections Engineer will be providing expertise to the Missile Defense Agency on the MDA Technical, Engineering, Advisory and Management Support (TEAMS)-Next Specialized Engineering Analyses (SEA) contract.
This position will support the System Security Engineering directorate (MDA/CEY). This team performs analysis and assessments of system protections objective evidence in System Readiness Reviews, Preliminary Design Reviews, and Critical Design Reviews of new systems or system upgrades to the Missile Defense System. The selected candidate will inform the MDA/CEY Director with respect to risk-based decisions and sufficiency of implemented system protections.
Duties include:
Support and analysis of body of evidence in engineering review processes
Briefing of issues, concerns and status to senior leadership
Working with different program offices in lead up to engineering reviews and decision points
Review of system architectures in relation to DoD standards
Review of verification reports from DoD Joint Federated Assurance Center (JFAC) Labs on engineering plans, designs, and systems
Review of plans and designs to determine if they are ready to be reviewed by JFAC lab
Performance of staff work for customer regularly and as needed
Determination of system operation and criticality analysis from designs
Basic Qualifications:
At a minimum, qualified candidates must have:
A bachelor's degree in a technical field such as engineering, mathematics, physical sciences, or computer science.
At least 7 years of full-time professional experience in a technical field related to missile defense and/or technical analysis of a complex Department of Defense (DoD) weapon system.
Must be eligible to obtain or have an active TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility.
Must be able to work at our customer site on Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama.

Preferred Qualifications:
Program protections background
Experience with DoD acquisitions and formal design review process
Bachelor's or higher degree in an Engineering field
Capability to work independently and/or lead sub-teams, applying engineering rigor to analyze and resolve problems
Excellent written and oral communication skills and MS Office automation tool proficiency
