Summary
HII Mission Technologies Division is seeking a Field Engineer at the Joint Integrated Test and Training Center - Nellis (JITTC-N), Nellis, AFB, NV to conduct technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements in accordance with customer specifications. Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinated solution. Coordinates hardware and software installation, integration, validation and verification support. integration support, and documentation development support in the Joint Simulation Environment (JSE). Individual also prepares and coordinates physical configuration audits in conjunction with the Configuration Manager, processes document changes to networks, and assists in updating drawings. Applies information assurance and security regulations and policies to network installations.
This position is part of a team that provides on-site M&S support to establish and deliver high-end Advanced Tactics, Training, and Test capability for Government personnel operating under USAFWC/ACC; Provide mission execution and support to broad range of JITTC-N simulator activities and JSE. The selected candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and be capable of designing and developing and documenting network and systems. This position will perform management responsibilities, as required, by company leadership.

What you will do
Candidate will conduct technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations. Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution. Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications. Conducts technical training and product briefings with customers, vendors and company representatives. This includes:
Rapidly adapt and learn how to operate the front and back end of JSE products and processes.
Perform as mid-level contributor with knowledge and experience in local and wide area networking, communications, and related software/hardware within a secure, multi-platform operating environment.
Provide support to a large and diverse customer base as a member of a complex team comprised of contractors and government personnel.
Assist with integration of network and hardware infrastructure, including the planning, design, installation, maintenance, and management of LAN/WAN classified and unclassified DoD networks.
Assist with identification of equipment in the JSE and all aspects of site kit assembly, configuration, testing, coordination, and preparation for shipment.
Prepare and execute hardware deployment and site installation plans.
On-site support to include installation, maintenance, and/or decommissioning for networks and equipment to include servers, infrastructure, switches/routers and firewalls, cabling, power supplies, COMSEC equipment, VOIP telephones, and other associated network equipment.
Install, label, and organize interior STP CAT5/6 copper, fiber, and AV cabling.
Review mission scope-of-work requirements and technical design packages.
Coordinate with customer project managers, administrative and technical program support staff, and customers.
Update and complete documentation and post installation close-out operations.
Perform site surveys to assess and document current and proposed site network configuration and architecture based on mission requirements, specifications, and customer needs for locations worldwide.
Assist with updates to technical information in technical drawings and technical data packages. Create diagrams as needed for planning and documentation purposes.
What you must have
9 years relevant experience with bachelor's in electrical engineering or related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years' experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field
DoD 8570 Certified Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II baseline certification (CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP)
Experience with basic network configuration.
Familiar and capable of configuring, networking, and installing of software on computers and laptops.
Must have a valid US Passport and ability to travel up to 25%, occasional multi-day OCONUS travel may be required in this role.
Strong presentation/briefing skills
Ability to work flexible schedule to support customer requirements.
Proven ability to work both in a team and individually.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language
U.S. Citizenship
Must have an a ctive or current DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
Preferred Requirements
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
Previous experience as a hardware fielding engineer on a DoD program.
Familiarity with Cameo, CAD and/Visio
Proven leadership experience and ability to execute agile/dynamic processes.
Physical Requirements
May require working in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level. May encounter extremes of temperature, pollution, humidity, noise, and other environmental factors while collecting data, observing performance of task teams.
