Job Description:
CDM Smith is seeking a skilled SharePoint developer to enhance our team supporting large federal contracts. The ideal candidate will be a mid-career professional with extensive experience in SharePoint design, development, and management, who is ready to take on increasing responsibilities with limited supervision. This role involves working with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design, develop, and maintain SharePoint sites, and providing technical support to end-users.
Strong attention to detail, desire for process ownership, and interest in implementing new technology are highly valued. Projects are located throughout the U.S. and its territories.
Candidates must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain a FEMA Badge, which includes a background investigation for a Public Trust position.
Responsibilities:
SharePoint Design for Existing Systems: Design and optimize existing SharePoint systems to meet organizational needs including knowledge of Microsoft Government Community Cloud (GCC) functionality.
Power Automate Flows: Develop and maintain Power Automate flows to streamline business processes.
Power Apps Development: Develop and maintain customizable applications for business processes.
Technical Assistance and Management: Provide expert technical assistance and manage existing SharePoint sites.
Design and Maintenance: Assist in designing and maintaining new SharePoint sites. Manage SharePoint site and content as directed.
Content Management: Upload files, add metadata search criteria, manage user permissions, create/update files/libraries/lists, maintain calendars and announcements, archive data, and manage SharePoint site space utilization.
Data Management: General understanding of data management best practices, including data structure and data integrity.
Documentation Scanning: Scan applicable documentation for upload to SharePoint.
Migration: Perform migration of SharePoint content between versions.
Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and support to end-users. Troubleshoot issues and recommend solutions.
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure successful deployments.
Industry Best Practices: Stay current with SharePoint and industry best practices.
Update Management: Manage SharePoint updates as directed.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Management or related discipline. 4 years of related experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands. Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to get Public Trust Clearance
3+ years of experience in SharePoint development.
Proficient in SharePoint Online and/or SharePoint 2019/2016/2013.
Experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx), PowerShell scripting, and SharePoint Designer.
Power BI Development: Develop Power BI dashboards and queries for building complex data models and designing reports for business processes.
Strong knowledge of JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, and .NET framework.
Ability to design efficient and scalable SharePoint solutions.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Microsoft SharePoint certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Developer) are a plus.

Skills and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills. Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills. Possesses strong teamwork and collaboration skills and an ability to work well in fast paced environments requiring daily shifting of priorities. Excellent knowledge of Information Management applications and techniques. Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to research, assess, recommend, select, and implement information technology that aligns with organizational needs. Demonstrated knowledge of business systems analysis, relational database design and data modeling, planning, design, and implementation of information technology infrastructures and software, software development life cycle and programming fundamentals, and software quality management and security practices. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Visual Studio.
