The IT Systems Administrator I is a key position in the Company and will support and contribute to the company goals of profitability, return on investment, inventory turnover, and accident prevention. The IT Systems Administrator I, under moderate direction; will manage, maintain and support all hardware (150-250 PCs/laptops; 50-75 printers; 45-75 Router/switches), software and network (250-300 users) installation components of the Company Information System (CIS) structure, including but not limited to network data server (30-50 Servers), communications systems (200-250 Desk phones; 50-75 Mobile Phones) and wireless devises (100-150 scanner guns; 25-50 wireless printers). Responsible for data security and disaster recovery plans implementation and assist in developing plan strategies based on evolving technological advances. Troubleshoot and resolve end user problems providing training as necessary.

Essential Functions of the Job:
Focus, communicate, encourage and contribute to Safety in all aspects of the job and all company meetings.
Maintain and support all network and communication systems by completing operation, patches, upgrades and scheduled maintenance in a timely manner to ensure data security and integrity systems are performing as designed and have adequate storage capacity.
Monitor network performance to take corrective actions against present system deficiencies and network recommended future enhancements. Responsible for staying current and proficient with network and network devices.
Schedule and perform data backups and disaster recovery operations of all systems adhering to company policy. Record and track tape usage. Transport tapes to offsite storage facility.
Manage network access and security including all servers and services required for Web. Monitoring, Spam Control, Antivirus and updates, Windows Updates, Wireless Security, etc.
Provide effective and courteous maintenance and support service for PCs, corporate printers and other technological issues for which the IT Department is responsible, including hardware troubleshooting/repair and limited software assistance (not application support/training). Confer with end-users on solving system problems. Provide end-user training when appropriate.
Install new computer technology equipment utilizing knowledge of configuration and diagnostics to support and maintain.
Maintain an inventory of spare repair parts in order to support and maintain system hardware.
Communicate critical system problems and deficiencies to Plant Controller and other IT staff members in a timely fashion (5 minute rule).
Perform research, analysis and implementation of current and new IT solutions.
Perform all other duties assigned by Supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's):
Knowledge of all CIS hardware/software programs including Microsoft Operating systems, equipment and configurations for company networks, operating and communications systems.
Good communication, logic and problem solving skills.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to organize and prioritize work.
Knowledge and proficiency in at least two programming languages with "C" or Visual Basic being one of them.
Able to work extended hours as needed to complete assignments and maintenance/system support.
May be required to travel for educational, equipment troubleshooting or installation purposes.
On call 24/7 (on rotation) for production down situations.
Education and Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Computer/Management Information Systems required.
3+ years previous experience in computer hardware and network systems support.
