Ideal Candidate:
Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering (Quality, Systems, Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Materials, Electrical, Ceramic, Metallurgical, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science) from an ABET-accredited four-year college or university (proof required, such as a transcript or diploma). Graduate education or professional certification is a plus.
Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of quality management systems, SPC, MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems), and CAD. Experience with robotic integration, control systems, and electrical blueprints is a plus. Ability to troubleshoot and maintain MES system equipment and perform data analysis for process improvement.
Quality Assurance: Coordinate internal and external quality management system audits, establish and maintain operating procedures for effective non-destructive testing (NDT), and develop training programs for quality technicians. Ensure compliance with API, Specification Q1, and ISO 9001 standards.
Process Improvement: Evaluate and develop new methods, materials, and procedures to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and cost control. Use SPC methods to ensure process control and continually seek opportunities to improve manufacturing processes.
Project Management: Design and oversee new and MES systems to optimize production, reduce delays, and ensure equipment operates smoothly. Manage MES projects from scope definition to implementation, coordinating with various departments to meet project goals.
Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality assurance teams to troubleshoot, resolve issues, and optimize production workflows. Communicate project updates and designs effectively through meetings, reports, and presentations.
Safety and Compliance: Promote a culture of safety, enforce safety policies, and conduct safety meetings and inspections. Adhere to all safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Innovation and Training: Investigate new technologies and techniques, train co-workers, and provide technical assistance in all aspects of the manufacturing and design process. Lead or participate in continuous improvement and safety teams.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Quality, Systems, Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Materials, Electrical, Ceramic, Metallurgical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science Engineering or Computer Science) from an accredited university (proof required).
Proficiency in using CAD software and MES systems.
Experience or coursework in manufacturing processes, quality management systems, and statistical process control (SPC). Strong technical skills and the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
