DSE is dedicated to ensuring excellence in every aspect of aviation and missile defense system production of existing and emerging weapons systems and life cycle sustainment of fielded systems.
Job Summary
We are seeking an individual to participate in PATRIOT missile reliability, logistics and life cycle sustainment for both US government and international partners. You will be part of a team of highly qualified US Government and prime contractor engineers and analysts performing a vital national defense function.
Roles and Responsibilities:
This position is in support of the Program Executive Office (PEO) Missiles and Space (MS), Short and Intermediate Effectors for Layered Defense (SHIELD) Project Office. The requirements are similar to that of an entry / junior level action officer collecting data, analyzing the data, preparing and coordinating responses.
Perform general engineering, programmatic and technical functions: plan, coordinate, and support test and evaluation of missile components; write test plans, conduct engineering tests, document test results, perform analyses on test data, and report findings.
Derive measures of reliability from tests and other data.
Participate in establishing and defining program plan requirements.
Develop plans, coordinate schedules, and support international meetings to include program documentation.
Travel to user locations, government locations, and other company locations in the US and overseas are required and may necessitate off-site stay of up to three weeks at a time. May require evening and / or weekend work.
Required Skills: Ability to collect, analyze, and synthesize information to produce quality-briefing products and written documentation is necessary. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to use Microsoft Office suite products, especially MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, in Engineering or Science related field with 0 - 5 years of experience
Five years relevant work experience may offset degree requirement
US Citizen
Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
PATRIOT Missile System (Air & Missile Defense weapons systems) Experience
Experience in development and use of ACCESS databases and Excel spreadsheets for analyses
