We are seeking applicants for a Staff Action Officer position to support our Army customer in Huntsville, AL.
Job responsibilities include support our Army customers as an action officer, anticipating the needs of management and proactively addressing issues with an emphasis on sound judgment, and initiative. Work closely with a high-performing, fast-paced team to support government clients. Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of various executives' styles, methods of operation, and authorities. Perform tasks in a variety of areas to include:
Tracking important milestones or actions for management/team.
Will provide leadership to lower-level employees.
Prioritize work by considering its risk, importance, urgency, and potential business, organizational, and client implications.
Review Policy, Directives, and Regulations and develop Comment Response Matrixes.
Interact with clients, government officials and other executives in the private sector.
Respond to official Taskers using ETMS2.
Verbal and written communications must be timely and demonstrate the consistent ability to present ideas and communicate information in a clear and concise manner.
Develop Command Policy for official staffing through to signature.
Monitors program performance and provides status information to leadership.
Drafting, writing and editing reports, briefs, correspondence and other documents.
Provide a range of technical and consultative services to assist the customer in effectiveness and efficiency of operations, resources and programs related to the Army.
Develop requirements and documents, task planning, project schedules and budgets, and prepare white papers on positions and/or concepts related to AMC AMP.
Will liaison with key internal and external stakeholders.
Develop, deliver, and lead PMR, IPR, and OPT briefings and reports to senior stakeholders at the Army.
Develop and analyze training materials and evaluate the overall performance of training programs within AMC AMP. May deliver training programs.
May work within specialized military databases to review reports and manage data.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use tools or controls; normal physical activity (reach with hands and arms; climb stairs); and communicate effectively with all levels of employees and leadership. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree or higher, additional years of experience may be substituted for degree
10+ years of experience
Extensive experience with MS Office, Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint
Strong written and oral communication skills, detail oriented, strong organizational skills
Proven ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
Excellent attention to details and diligent adherence to deadlines and deliverables
A high-level performer with the ability to be proactive and respond rapidly to changing conditions in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational skills
Preferred Requirements:
Former Military or DoD Staff Experience
Experience with ETMS2
Experience writing OPORD, EXORD, FRAGO's
Experience at AMC, HQDA, or OSD
Required Education: Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, Cyber, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or other STEM discipline however, years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
Clearance Requirements: Must have an Active Secret Security Clearance or have the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
