Sigmatech is seeking a qualified System of Systems Engineer who likes a good challenge, is personable, and would like to work with us as we make a difference in delivering capabilities to our customers and to the warfighters. Ideally the most successful candidate will have intimate knowledge of Army force structures, PEO Missiles and Space products, current PEO C3T radio technologies and the communications architectures that link the two PEO products together. This is a dynamic position and once aboard, you will be responsible for a few things:
Leveraging your understanding of the Tactical Radios capabilities and system of systems functionality, you'll provide technical support and assist with the integration into the Fire Support Kill Chain, Air Defense Artillery, Multi-Domain Task Force Operations, and will also support emerging Fires requirements.
Providing technical support to Fires program of record to integrate the most up to date version of Fires software with the HMS portfolio and M&S platforms. Examples of Fires software include but are not limited to: Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS); Fire Observer System (FOS); Precision Fires Dismounted (PF-D); Precision Fire Mounted (PF-M); Lightweight Handheld Mortar Ballistic Computer (LHMBC); Mortar Fire Control System (MFCS); Q53 Counter-Fire Radar.
Providing technical support in the development, maintenance, and communication of product level Technical Data Packages (TDPs) for vehicle platforms. This includes reviewing TDPs for accuracy against specific platform and radio requirements, associated lists, specifications, standards, performance requirements and packaging details for: ADAM shelter; HIMARS; MLRS; TPQ-53 MEG/SOG; TPQ-50; LRHW; MRC; SENTINAL; PATRIOT; IBCS; MSHORAD.
Working with the HMD Platform Integration lead, you'll perform liaison duties with external technical and programmatic stakeholders on all matters of platform integration including the HMS program office, program offices within PEO C3T, PEO M&S program offices, Government support entities, and industry partners including production contractors and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM).
As a local representative, you'll provide technical support on all fire-related questions as it pertains to the HMS portfolio and platform integration across Fires War Fighting Functions (WFF).
Required Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of an active Secret Clearance
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems; an additional four (4) years experience may be used as a substitution for the degree
Minimum of eight (8) years related experience of progressively more complex experience with tactical communications products germane to the fires community
Experience with Systems of Systems Architectures (SOSA) as well as requirements derivation and decomposition
Experience managing or keeping track of many hardware and software configurations
Experience with Technical Data Package development, redlining, and working with OEM's to ensure the most correct information possible is captured and updated
Very strong interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management and cross-functional team leadership and coordination
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently across a range of complex projects
Travel: up to 30% (commute not included)
