Aviation and Missile Solutions (AMS) is seeking a senior level system engineer / analyst to support Army air defense system integration and verification in Huntsville, AL. This position requires subject matter expertise and team leadership experience.
The System Analyst will work as a member of the PEO-MS Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office System Engineering (SE) Directorate to verify system requirements in support of integrated Army AMD missions. The position supports the SE Director as a Subject Matter Expert, and the candidate will assist in directing the IFMC Joint Analysis Team (JAT). Candidate will provide oversight of integration and verification test activities, support development of mission requirements, oversee and execute Hardware In The Loop (HWIL) and live range tests with onsite support, and conduct post mission analysis and verification of requirements. The position will support development of briefings and documentation such as verification plans, analyses, reports, and technical briefings for IFMC SE leadership and outside agencies. This position requires a strong background in development and modification of software tools for data parsing, visualization, and analysis.

Basic Qualifications:
Candidate must be a US citizen, must be a resident of the Huntsville, AL area (or willing to relocate), must have a four-year bachelors degree from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences, or mathematics, and must have a minimum of 10 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed below. The candidate must have 10+ years direct experience with AMD systems, with specific system engineering knowledge and experience with one (1) or more of the following systems: IBCS, PATRIOT, THAAD, C2BMC, FAAD, AEGIS, Sentinel, or equivalent.
Other Qualifications:
The candidate must have demonstrated experience in requirements development, integration, testing, analysis or verification of the following AMD areas: radar/EOIR sensing, track management, threat evaluation, engagement planning and processing, interceptor guidance, IFF, CCTDI, Non-Cooperative Target Recognition, sensor geodetic registration, defense planning, sensor coverage evaluation and optimization, tactical distributed systems, networked sensors, engagement resource management, or force operations. Candidate must be a strong programmer and must demonstrate proficiency with at least one scripting or programming language (e.g. Python, Matlab, C/C++, Java). Candidate must be fluent in Microsoft Office tools and should be familiar with Linux OS systems. The candidate will be required to demonstrate critical thinking and subject matter expertise in these areas as part of their interview.
Security Requirements:
Candidate must have a current Secret security clearance.
Other Requirements:
Travel (>10% TDY) is required in support of on-site analysis activities of live and HWIL testing. Current travel will be limited to the continental US, but foreign travel is a possibility.
