Systems Technology and Research, Inc., is seeking an Aviation Airworthiness Analyst to support the Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) Division of the Systems Readiness Directorate (SRD). The ideal candidate will both be able to followdeficiency analysis and resolution processes to identify root cause and prevent or mitigate recurrence within acquisition, quality, systems engineering, and overall lifecycle management plans as well as perform financial data collection, sorting, and displaying of that data.This position is teleworking position based in Huntsville, AL that willalso require supporting on-site meeting requirements.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
Support the Army'sairworthiness qualification to include engineering analysis, formal inspections, design reviews, safety assessments, contractor demonstrations, modeling and simulation, and contractor and Government qualification tests.
Support the Army's Product QualityDeficiency Reports (PQDR) Category I reportingprocess providing pre- and post-award Quality Assurance support to Project Offices, Engineering Support Activities, Military Services, and other Stakeholders.
Investigate Unit complaints and deficiency reports, determine quality trends, identify causes of deficiencies and recommend corrective actions or changes to control procedures.
Provide timely quality feedback to activities responsible for design, development, purchasing, production, supply, maintenance, contract administration, and other functions so that action can be initiated to determine cause, take corrective action, and prevent recurrence.
Review, analyze, and interpret various financial documents and reportsto pull budget reports and filter/present data for use in Product Support Coordination.
Review and approve record documents and investigation closeout actions are documented in the approved information system, Product Data Reporting and Evaluation Program (PDREP).
Preferred Experience:
Bachelor of Science degree (technical preferred) from an accredited college with 6 years of direct experience or an equivalent amount of relevant experience is required.
Knowledge of the Systems Readiness Directorate airworthiness release process, MIL-HDBK-516, or the Army Military Airworthiness Certification Criteria (AMACC) IAW AR 70-62.
Knowledge of thePDREP, Automated Information System (AIS).
Experience in the tracking of financial appropriated funds, including Research, Development, Testing and Evaluation (RDTandE), Operation and Maintenance (OMA), Procurement, Congressional Adds, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS).
Proficiency in MS Excel to pull budget reports and filter/present data for use in Product Support Coordination.
Must have solid hands-on experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Must be a US Citizen and have/able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior Army Aviation operator or maintenance experience.
