Continuous Improvement Coordinator.
Location: Valley, AL
We are looking for a Continuous Improvement Coordinator to assist the Plant Manager in executing continuous improvement initiatives. The role focuses on promoting RedZone and the "Win the Day" culture, which aims to transform the front-line workforce by enhancing collaboration between production, maintenance, and quality teams, thereby fostering a connected and engaged workforce
Key Responsibilities:
Safety:Promote and ensure adherence to safety protocols and practices, creating a safe working environment for all employees.
Frontline Engagement:Foster high levels of engagement of frontline employees and collaboration during huddles, "Win the Hour, Win the Day" activities, and other CI events.
Culture Change:Promote and sustain a culture of continuous improvement through training, coaching, and developing employees and leaders.
Collaboration:Work closely with Plant Manager, Department Managers, and Supervisors to connect and unify production, quality and maintenance to create one team working with purpose to win the day, every day.
Frontline ComplianceImplement and maintain quality assurance processes, integrating QA and productivity using RedZone to ensure products and services meet established standards and customer expectations.
RedZone Implementation:Act as an internal consultant to implement and monitor RedZone, providing status updates to the Plant Manager and Corporate team.
Frontline Continuous Improvement (CI):Lead and train frontline teams on CI tools and methodologies, including Lean principles and problem-solving behaviors.
Process Improvement:Facilitate Rapid Improvement Events and Kaizen activities to eliminate waste, enhance productivity, and drive cost savings.
Front Line Productivity and Reliability:Link team activities to operational data and metrics to support the decision-making process and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
Sustainability:Collaborate with the team to integrate sustainability practices into operational processes, ensuring environmental responsibility and long-term viability.
Qualifications:
Education:Associate or Bachelor of Science degree preferred, or equivalent education/training/experience.
Experience:Minimum 2 years in a Lean environment, with experience in training, coaching, and developing Lean principles and CI tools. Experience with RedZone a plus.
Skills:Strong communication, leadership, project management, and strategic thinking skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel.
