Quality System Engineers/Managers work with mill operations, technical, and quality individuals to implement quality measures while leading corrective action and continuous improvement activities in collaboration with the Mill Divisionu2019s quality vision and strategy. Overall, there is a responsibility for the development and implementation of inspection activities, the detection and resolution of problems, and the delivery of satisfactory outcomes. Additional responsibilities include training other employees on quality control matters, designing quality standards, quality processes, developing quality control systems, and determining corrective actions.

The minimum educational requirement for the Quality Systems Engineer/Manager position is a bacheloru2019s degree in engineering/science. Exposure to quality management, quality management systems, leadership and management, customer relations, communication skills, and supplier management. Travel, to mill operational locations, is an aspect of the position averaging around 60%. The ability to obtain process information and quality information to develop statistical analysis performance and assist development of corrective action plans is a key function of support.
