Entry-Level Distribution Engineer
Job Summary of Roles and Responsibilities:
POWER Engineers is currently seeking an entry-level Distribution Engineer to work in the Power Delivery Distribution Services Department in Trussville, Alabama. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of distribution line design including basic engineering calculations, field data collection, physical design, electrical design, and the development of material lists.
Required Education/Experience
A Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited university, preferably a BSEE, BSEET, or BSME.
The candidate must have strong command of the English language with good written and oral communication skills in order to work effectively with internal team members and external client personnel.
Experience using the Microsoft Office software suite.
Strong knowledge and understanding of electrical engineering upon which to build.
The ability to successfully pass our client's background screening process.
Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Desired Education/Experience
A BSEE, BSEET, or BSME degree from an ABET accredited university, preferably with a power option.
Minimum of a 2.75 GPA.
Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is desired.
A basic understanding of overhead and underground distribution circuits.
Previous engineering design or drafting work experience, especially if related to the power industry or distribution engineering, is desirable.
Travel should be expected.
