**[Job Title:[ GIS (Geographic Information Systems) Data Engineer
**[Job Duties:[ Design or coordinate the mapping and integration of client data into the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) spatial or non-spatial databases, using a variety of tools including but not limited to Python Programing, SQL, FME workbenches, and ArcGIS Pro. Support GIS data migrations and data conversions from disparate systems into the employers GIS data models. Review existing or incoming data for currency, accuracy, usefulness, quality, or completeness of documentation. Perform data analysis and development for GIS application databases, including the maintenance of existing databases or research and development for future enhancements. Provide references for users by writing and maintaining documentation. Design, develop, and test data extraction and migration. Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information. Provide technical expertise in GIS technology to clients or fellow project teams. Telecommuting from any location in the United States is an option for this position.
**[REQUIREMENTS:[ BS in Geographic Information Science, Geographic Information Systems, or Computer Information Systems. Two years of experience in GIS data mapping and data analysis, using Python Programing, SQL, FME workbenches, and ArcGIS Pro. Will accept MS in Geographic Information Science, Geographic Information Systems, or Computer Information Systems; and completion of one GIS Development Practicum (or GIS Development Practical Training), one ArcGIS, and one GIS Programing related graduate level courses, with no experience.
