Position Description:
Join CGI as a Director of Consulting Services in our East Region! We are seeking to hire an expert in New York State's procurement processes with a proven track record of driving profitable growth and expanding accounts.
This role is perfect for a self-driven, entrepreneurial individual with proven IT business development experience in the State of NY public sector. As our NY State Account Leader, you will be required to reside in the Albany NY metro area, and will leverage your senior-level relationships within multiple state agencies to expand our IT Services business. Your responsibilities will include managing a team of skilled delivery SMEs and growing our relationships and portfolio within New York State.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Expand our portfolio with the government sector within "State of New York".
Drive Revenue and Profitability.
Bring deep knowledge and Information Technology services delivery capability, be integrated into the market place and be responsible for bringing solutions and thought leadership to our clients, work well in collaborative environments, be highly motivated by delivering excellent services to our clients and ensuring their satisfaction.
Will use and leverage your experience and creativity to design, propose and execute solutions for complex client problems in advanced business and technology environments.
Lead a team of professionals - both direct reports and via US based onshore delivery centers.
Manage client satisfaction in partnership with account management teams.
Contribute to business strategy, budget planning and manage profitability of engagements.
Develop a strong pipeline of opportunities within new and existing accounts within the State of New York - Public Sector.
Lead proposals and evolve solution offerings.
Overall accountability for the winning of competitive proposals.
Overall accountability of service delivery to our clients.
Ensure success of engagements using global US based onshore delivery centers and strategic partners.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
Minimum 10+ years of demonstrated ability in senior level, NY State Leadership or Information Technology Consulting for government clients.
Deep understanding, knowledge and relationships with the State of New York Public Sector Agencies.
Ability to interact with agency C-Level decision makers.
Results oriented business leader with solid understanding of budgets, forecasting, planning, P&Ls, and complex pricing models.
Business development including strategic sales planning.
Client engagement management and relationship building.
A keen, flexible and bold perceptiveness; outstanding conceptual thinking as well as analytical and problem-solving skills.
Be independent, self-starting, and be able to stay calm under the pressures of multiple deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, at all levels.
Proven track record of crafting and maintaining business partnerships and relationships.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $137,500-240,600.
