Responsibilities for this position include:
Staffing the Engineering department, allocating resources, and prioritize work efforts based on company level priorities.
Managing the technology of the company by working with KLD's engineering staff to determine technical approaches for product development.
Foster the development of "best practices" / procedure documentation - develop, maintain, and improve intra- and inter-disciplinary standards, practices, and operations to ensure consistency, correctness, and integrity from one project to the next
Liaise with Project Managers, managers of Sales, Operations, and Service to ensure that appropriate interaction between personnel and flow of information is maintained.
Facilitate investigation of new technology for use in future projects.
Support the production of product, including the "delivery" of a new product to operations for fabrications.
Support troubleshooting / technical investigation of service-related issues.
Management of internal development projects.
