Job Description
In Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Systems, you ll help develop systems that sense, control, exploit and disseminate actionable information to warfighters supporting a variety of missions. We are looking for a Quality Engineering Intern to implement tools and processes to ensure product or services meets the standards of quality including reliability, usability and performance. You must be a self-starting problem solver who will utilize your analytical skills to find innovative solutions to quality-related issues. Strong communication skills are essential to understand requirements and expectations, make progress reports and present findings.
Intern Responsibilities:
Understand Quality standards and procedures
Trending Data
Creating Data
Product Inspection
Participate and interact with other interns in sector wide activities
Develop understanding of BAE Systems Quality Management System
Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations and Engineering
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree and on course to graduate in 2025, 2026, or 2027 in a technical field including (but not limited to):
Industrial Engineering
Systems Engineering
Software Computer Science
Computer Engineering
Hardware Mechanical, Electrical
Engineering Management
Mathematics
Physics
Information Systems
Economics
Quality Management
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Outstanding communication skills
Demonstrated teamwork and leadership experience
Capacity and motivation for hard work
Experience in defense electronics industry
Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma practices
Knowledge of Quality Management Systems
Relevant quality certifications
Technical internships/co-ops
Exposure to ISO 9001, CMMI, or AS9100
Has a Department of Defense Security Clearance
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $53040 - $71640
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20 hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
