Summary
The Lieutenant will assist the Captain by performing supervision of the shift workforce; oversee and manage the security-related functions and responsibilities of the work-shift; supervise teams of armed guards and will ensure all contract requirements are adhered to.
Responsibilities
Wearing a uniform and possessing an assigned weapon, will conduct and /or participate in Guard Mount, receive assigned post, and copy any extra instructions.
Provide the immediate, day-to-day, leadership, supervision and management of the subordinate personnel in the conduct and performance of security related functions and responsibilities.
Will carry out general and special orders for post assigned; conduct roving patrols prevent installation breaches and other OPSEC or security-related tasks
Will communicate via radio, telephone and orally according to orders
Required to interact and escort as required with public and government personnel.
Will provide access control, traffic control and conduct walking and motorized armed security functions
Will be responsible for cleanliness of uniform and equipment assigned.
Will follow and enforce all applicable standard operating procedures, government regulations and directives pertaining to security of weapons, buildings, personnel, government property and equipment
Will conduct personnel, vehicular, building, & facility checks and package & parcel inspection
Must be able to work flexible hours to include weekends and holidays.
Will be responsible for subordinate performance evaluations and sustainment of subordinate training / certification proficiencies.

Qualifications
Minimum High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
Active TS clearance.
Speak, read, comprehend, and compose coherent verbal and written reports in English.
Have an approved Social Security Card issued by the Social Security Administration.
Shall not be in violation of the Lautenberg Amendment at 18 U.S.C. 922
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a valid NC driver's license and able to operate a SUV style vehicle.
Minimum of one year of supervisory experience preferably with a civilian police force, military police force, or civilian security guard organization.
Possess a current CPR certification through the American Red Cross.
Successfully be able to meet physical agility standards as set forth by US Army.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment.
Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.

The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
