Job Summary
Our organization's greatest expense is labor, and time reporting for a government contractor is a highly structured component. Hands on learning of the time and labor, payroll, payroll, taxes, reconciliations to the General Ledger, and more.
The Payroll and Time & Labor team is currently seeking an Intern for Summer 2025 . This position is a hybrid position in Columbus, OH .
Responsibilities
Intern activities may include some or all of the following:
Learn and assist with processing of timecards and reconciling them to our ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning).
Support payroll processing including tax balancing, employee changes, audit reporting.
Support cost corrections, time balancing, timecard errors and reconciliations.
Work with our Corporate Accounting team to reconcile payroll related GL accounts and investigate variances.
Special projects as needed (i.e. process improvement; finance documentation)
Responsibilities can vary depending on knowledge/experience.
Key Qualifications
Must be currently pursuing bachelor's or master's degree in Business Administration or Accounting
Strong computer skills including, but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite; especially Microsoft Excel.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, to work with employees throughout the organization on payroll and time questions and issues
Discretion when dealing with employee sensitive information
US Citizenship required with the ability to obtain/maintain clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience using a payroll processing system.
