Job Description
Perform reviews of incoming records prior to acceptance to ensure they meet NARA standards prior to acceptance in the Gimmal Records Management, PPPO's electronic records management system.
Assist with inventory of electronic records archive, records retention schedules, and destruction notices.
Assist with creating Records Management procedures, manuals, and instructions.
Track, manage, and assist with dispositioning of records stored in the Federal Project Classified System.
Work with site contractors to ensure application of NARA-approved Records Disposition Schedule.
Support records management digitization projects through efforts of prepping, scanning, performing peer reviews, uploading, and/or dispositioning records.
Track and report activities to Records and Document Control Manager.
Participate in DOE's Records Management Working Group meetings.
Attend routine staff meetings.
Support PPPO staff, both Federal and contractor, with routine records management questions.
Provide back up support for EEOICPA and PA claim requests.
Assist with actively promoting and advancing PPPO's electronic records management initiative.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant discipline and five years' relevant experience or ten years' of relevant experience.
DOE Experience in supporting D&D, D&R, S&M, Infrastructure and operations activities
Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with database management
Experience in office administration (e.g., planning meetings, handling security and travel arrangements, and invoicing, etc.)
Must have strong organizational and communication skills.
Possesses or able to obtain a DOE "Q" clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Livelink
Experience with Microsoft SharePoint
DOE Records Management experience
Knowledge of Federal laws and DOE regulations for the management of federal records.
Experience in lifecycle records management (i.e., creation, maintenance and use, disposition) regardless of media type
Experience in creating and maintaining records inventories and file plans.
Familiarity with Gimmal software
Familiarity with Office 365 retention policies
Experience with database systems
Familiarity with Energy Employee Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA) and Privacy Act (PA) claim requests.
