LinQuest is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team in Dayton, OH. US Citizenship and an active Secret clearance, with Top Secret eligibility, is required.
As a Junior Software Engineer, you will develop software for the next generation of mission systems and pilot-vehicle interfaces. Tasking includes developing sensor processing capabilities, mission and flight autonomy, and graphics programming in support of cockpit displays Additionally, our team leads the development of novel high-profile software architectures, supported by a large group of industry engineers. Our team places a high premium on software quality and maintainability, automation, and standards compliance, including leveraging best-of-breed tooling. Our engineers solve the technical challenges of operational requirements while owning the end-to-end life cycle of software development, including design, integration, technical documentation, and testing.
Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, Mathematics, or Physics
1+years of professional experience in C++ software development
Experience designing and implementing C++ software development
Experience working in an Agile development team environment
Working understanding of the "why" behind the product, systems, and security design
Experience with a Linux-based dev environment, leveraging Gitlab Artifactory, and a broad set of commonly-used open-source dependencies
Ability to effectively brief and interact regularly with a technically-oriented government customer
Excellent verbal & written communication skills
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret clearance
Preferred Skills & Experience:
3+ years of professional experience in C++ software development
Working knowledge of RF and IR sensor systems
Graphics development experience using Qt
Experience with Python and Rust software development
Experience with mission systems software development
Experience with containerized microservice system architectures
Experience in the development, test, or management of aircraft-resident embedded software
