ENSCO, Inc., Mission Systems Group (MSG) is seeking a Junior Cyber Security Engineer to support a Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) contract.
This position is located in Dayton, OH at Wright Patterson AFB (WPAFB).
Duties will include:
Manage efforts to conduct and maintain Continuous Monitoring (CM) from various organizations
Provide a discovery summaries and technical risk assessments (with mitigation options) for successful completion/maintenance of the CM process and auditing activities.
Support application administration, maintenance, monitoring and auditing activities to Continuous Monitoring.
Maintaining ongoing awareness of information security, vulnerabilities, and threats to support organizational risk management decisions.
Evaluate controls and countermeasures, verifies security posture and maintains that posture throughout the network or system lifecycle.
Compile alerts and reports to show results of auditing and monitoring to keep exposure to threats low and to be alerted of potential events that may require investigation.
Work with System Information owners, Program Manager, System Administrator, ISSM, or ISSO to conduct CM and auditing activities and report discovered events and incidents
Identify patterns and signs of atypical events occurring across or inside a network or system that could be signs of a threat, attack, exploit, or Insider threat
Review technical accuracy of organization's documentation and assess/advise on levels of risk and thoroughness of documentation.
Qualifications Required (Skills)
BS Degree with 3 years of Air Force Cyber Analyst experience or 7 years' experience in lieu of a degree
Working Knowledge of eMASS, ACAS, and various System Event Information Management (SIEM) tools such as Splunk, Elasticsearch, or Solarwinds
Active CompTIA Security+ Certification
ABILITY TO OBTAIN AND MAINTAIN A DOD SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE FOR WHICH, YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN
Qualifications Desired
AWS or Google Cloud experience
Ability To Obtain and maintain a DOD TS/SCI Clearance
