Job Description
Job Summary: The Autonomy and Navigation Technology (ANT) Center (https://www.afit.edu/ANT/programs.cfm?a=view&D=15) , located at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) at Wright-Patterson AFB, is looking for a motivated and talented individual to serve as a Research Engineer. The successful candidate will have graduated from a major university or college with Master's or PhD in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with a 3.0 GPA or higher. The candidate must be a self-sufficient and an independent professional.

Must be U.S. Citizen, with active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
Essential Job Responsibilities
The Research Engineer will be a key member of the research staff supporting ANT Center faculty and graduate students to support and drive the software and tooling of the Center's cutting-edge research and development projects. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Design, develop, and test computer software in support of research requirements
Work with faculty, students and research engineers to develop new algorithms and tooling that support the various autonomy and advanced navigation research projects
Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent + Must be working towards a Bachelor's degree with between 20% and 40% of the required credits completed OR g raduated from a major university or college with Master's or PhD in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
Ability to work in-person AND remote
Must be U.S. Citizen with active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
