IS4S is seeking to hire several experienced software development experts who thrive in a Digital Engineering environment working space and engineering applications. You will support a variety of government-funded projects related to open architecture, open systems, containerization, space systems command and control (C2), and navigation technology. We are especially focused on breaking vendor lock by developing modular open systems that enable rapid prototyping and deployment of real-world systems to empower acquisition officials and revolutionize the warfighter capabilities.
Location Availability: Albuquerque, NM, Niceville, FL, Huntsville, AL, Dayton OH, Remote.
Must be a US Citizen; this position requires obtaining a government security clearance.

Job Description:
This position will:
Collaborate with management, customers, and stakeholders to identify end-user requirements and specifications
Work with a highly collaborative team of engineers to deliver innovative software solutions
Develop applications/services using Agile and Scrum development methodologies
Develop technical documentation to guide the software baseline configuration
Develop and update new or legacy SW applications in a system engineering framework
Conduct analysis of pipeline and containerization and throughput when needed
Develop and update operational mission analysis scenarios in AFSIM or other models
Compile and assess user feedback to improve software performance
Work all aspects of the software development life cycle from planning thru sustainment
Recommend new or added features/capabilities to existing software toolkits
Be proficient in SW troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining, and improving new or existing software products

Knowledge in space systems related applications/services such as: Command and Control (C2), Ground Resource Management (GRM), Flight Dynamics (e.g. OASYS), Mission Management (e.g. VMOC) and UX/UI or equivalent experience.
Required experience:
Required Experience and Skills:
Software Applications expertise
Knowledge in C2MS standards, OpenC3, Docker-ization, Container Management, CI/CD pipeline workflows
Programming languages/tools such as C++, Java, Python, HTML, SysML, AFSIM, AI/ML, MATLAB
Software engineering development principals and agile development methodologies
Experience in testing, debugging and improving code and the work of others to deliver products on cost and schedule
Experience with the software development life cycle including the planning, design, development, integration, testing, deployment and maintenance
Additional Experience / Qualifications of Interest:
Experience in DoD weapons development or integration
Experience integrating 3rd-party tools with Cameo System Modeler
Prior military service in software development/satellite operations is a plus
