Job Description
Are you ready to make a real impact in the Indo-Pacific region? We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Security Cooperation Planner and Coordinator to lead and support 333 operations and case development in Honolulu, HI. In this role, you will play a key part in strengthening military partnerships across the Pacific by coordinating partner forces training engagements and supporting 333 case development. Through this program, partner countries receive advanced training, cutting-edge equipment, and critical support to boost their capabilities in areas like counter-terrorism, maritime security, and border defense. By enhancing these vital partnerships, the 333 Program plays a key role in promoting stability and security across the Pacific, while advancing U.S. national security goals in the region. As a Security Cooperation Military Planner, you will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance defense partnerships and security cooperation among allied and partner nations within the Indo-Pacific region. This role involves planning joint exercises, managing security assistance programs, and fostering interoperability to ensure the collective security of the region. The position requires an understanding of Indo-Pacific geopolitics, military diplomacy, and international coordination to advance U.S. security objectives.

Essential Job Responsibilities
Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
Lead the development and coordination of 333 Program initiatives to build the defense capacities of Indo-Pacific partner nations.
Coordinate and plan joint military exercises, training programs, and security assistance to enhance counter-terrorism, maritime security, and border defense efforts across the Pacific region.
Collaborate with U.S. defense attachés, foreign military representatives, and regional security organizations to align objectives, develop training calendars, and optimize security cooperation.
Facilitate the delivery of training, equipment, and support to partner nations, ensuring the effective execution of U.S. security assistance programs like Foreign Military Sales (FMS), Foreign Military Financing (FMF), and the International Military Education and Training (IMET) program.
Analyze regional security challenges and emerging threats and provide capability gap analysis to stakeholders.
Serve as the point of contact for U.S. interagency coordination, working with the Department of State, allied militaries, and international defense organizations.
Prepare and present comprehensive reports and briefings to senior military officials on program effectiveness and future opportunities for cooperation.
Ensure compliance with U.S. defense policies, security assistance regulations, and international agreements.
Minimum Qualifications
10 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 8 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 14 years relevant experience.
A minimum 5 years of planning defense projects is required. M
Must possess strong attention to detail and organization skills.
Clearance- Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI or ability to obtain is required.
Preferred Requirements
Bachelor's degree in International Relations, Military Science, Strategic Studies, or related field (Master's preferred).
8+ years of experience in military operations, security cooperation, or related fields, particularly within the Indo-Pacific region.??????
Knowledge of U.S. security assistance programs, including the 333 Program, Foreign Military Sales (FMS), and other defense cooperation efforts.
Proven experience planning and executing joint military exercises, training initiatives, and multinational defense projects.
Understanding of Indo-Pacific geopolitics, military strategies, and regional security dynamics.
Strong cross-cultural communication skills, with the ability to work effectively alongside international partners and foreign militaries.
Proficiency in defense planning tools and security cooperation software.
Experience working in a security cooperation role focused on the Pacific region, with a deep understanding of the 333 Program.
Previous deployments or operational experience in the Indo-Pacific region.
Fluency in a regional language is a plus (e.g., Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, or Bahasa Indonesian).
