Northrop Grumman Space Sector's Ground Solutions and Mission Support organization (GSMS), a component of the Strategic Space Systems Division's National Space Systems Business Unit, is seeking an engaged technical leader for a consolidated ~90 person multi-disciplinary Infrastructure Team. The selected candidate will be responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of multiple concurrent projects spanning contracts and contract line items. This leader must foster and inculcate the adoption of modern infrastructure-as-code and agile processes and exemplify our NG values. The ideal candidate will have experience with project planning activities and cross team schedule integration; excellent communication and briefing skills; excellent prioritization; the capability of working in a team environment; and good interpersonal and organizational skills. The Infrastructure Team consists of network engineers, system admins, computer architects, cyber engineers, software release / configuration management, automation experts, DevSecOps, facilities operations, help desk and virtualization engineers.

Core Responsibilities:
Directs all phases of tasking from inception through completion
Prioritizes tasking and work across multiple concurrent projects and functions
Serves as the Customer POC for Infrastructure Sub-IPT activities to include leading review sessions with internal and external Customers
Coordinates milestones and monitors master plans and schedules with other GSMS elements; identifies and adjudicates issues and concerns, recommends and implements solutions such as the allocation of resources or changes to requirements
Provides leadership, guidance, and career development to the staff
Oversees a distributed computer facility requiring working knowledge and experience with O&M project management, Development Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Agile execution, CM Processes and procedures and ability to work with various program segments from inception through completion
Participates in writing proposal TD/BOEs, creation of Bill of Materials (BOMs), and negotiations of contract and contract changes/ECPs
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 10 years of relevant program, operations or leadership experience; or a Master's degree with 8 years of stated experience; or a PhD with 5 years of stated experience
SCI clearance is required at the time of application
Technical experience leading IT, Hardware, systems engineering, and/or operations teams
Demonstrated leadership ability, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a collaborative management style, and a focused drive to deliver on commitments
Direct experience and established relationships with relevant customers and stakeholders
Proven ability to effectively work across multiple contractor and customer organizations to form engaged teams, make decisions, and execute against challenging objectives
Ability to use EVMS to manage cost, schedule, and performance
Familiarity with Agile/DevSecOps processes/tools and virtualized, cloud-based architectures
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous CAM experience
Demonstrated ability to manage cost and schedule consistent with program budgets and established priorities
Operational site experience
Previous management experience or technical lead of a team of systems administrators, network engineers, cyber security engineers, or facility operations
Salary Range: $180,600 - $271,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
