POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision and guidance of the Technical Compliance Manager, the Surveillance Tech Support will manage the installs, configurations and make repairs to the surveillance system and ancillary support programs, systems and applications within the surveillance operations, including but not limited to, the surveillance main system components, servers, switches, matrix, encoders, power supplies, time/date generation system, recorders and hard drives, panic alarms, desktop controllers and monitors, mapping programs, LPR system and its wireless components, the UPS system maintenance oversight, troubleshooting and diagnostic testing of cameras, overseeing installations and repairs of cameras, supervising the routine maintenance program for all surveillance equipment and cameras, completing documentation on all equipment malfunctions and repairs, Assist Information Technology team members in resolving surveillance computer and communications issues.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of networking protocols with experience of local area network best practices, prior digital surveillance system networks, configurations, administration, and knowledge of casino gaming practices.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Providing 24x7 technical support to the surveillance department.
Diagnose various computer and surveillance system hardware, software and the associated systems and programs.
Assist in server and network infrastructure hardware and software maintenance and upgrades.
Install and/or maintain wireless LPR cameras and networking equipment.
Interact closely and effectively with approved external vendors, integrators, and system manufacturers.
Serve as a Surveillance Supervisor when not actively engaged in technical support functions.
Loads specified surveillance software and supervises, monitors, and create remote access logs documenting any external and/or approved remote access to the surveillance system servers by the manufacturer or approved integrator as specified.
Manages system status, performs system wellness checks and data back-up, maintains equipment malfunction logs and records of repair protocols,
Assist in maintaining functionality of various virtual server environments.
Works closely with casino IT team and other casino departments to provide information and reports of activities within the casino.
Coordinate emergency service responses with casino Security and outside emergency services.
May be called upon to work long hours and maintain a flexible work schedule.
Supervisory responsibilities for surveillance monitors and surveillance technicians.
Other duties may be assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 21 years of age.
Valid California drivers license.
Associates degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college of technical school or two years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requires demonstrated understanding, and hands-on experience with digital surveillance systems or LAN and WAN routers, switches, firewalls, and network protocols (TCP/IP, LDAP, SNMP, VPN, IPSec, etc.).
In-depth knowledge of hardware platforms including storage, RAID, SAN, and NAS technologies is desired. Hands-on experience and knowledge of virtual environments is a plus.
The ability to be productive, with minimal training, is essential for success in most temporary assignments.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages. Must be able to work with positive and negative numbers.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Gaming license issued by the Paskenta Gaming Commission.
Must obtain Title 31 certification as trained by Rolling Hills Casino.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Two years prior surveillance systems administration or technical support and/or certifications from major vendor or independent certification body in surveillance systems administration, networking technologies (MCSE, MCP, CCNA, etc.) is preferred.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear. The employee will need to be able to lift at least 25 lbs. The employee will also need to have visual abilities and physical dexterity to see and work with small and detailed electronic components.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally required to work near a moderate noise level. The employee may be required to work in an environment subjected to cigarette smoke. This position requires the ability to work non-conventional work hours.
