Description
Leidos has an immediate opening for a UNIX/Solaris Software Applications Tester to work on a dynamic program in the San Diego, CA area. In this position, you will be able to use both your manual and automated test skills as well as requirements documentation skillsand experience on an exciting high-profile contract.
Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate must have an active Secret Clearance to be considered, will have experience with QA and testing using Agile methodology, experience with developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts, experience testing browser-based/web applications, experience with various testing phases and approaches such as exploratory, smoke, functional, regression, integration and end to end, experience identifying regression test candidates for automation and automating those test cases, experience with accessibility compliance test execution and results documentation, and experience reporting, tracking, validating and closing defects. Responsible for inspection and testing to identify bugs, breaks or failures in the product. Uses test plans, cases, reports, and defect logs to execute test cases, report defects, and ensure that the product functions as designed. A thorough knowledge of the entire SDLC, testing methodologies and their direct implementation to projects is needed. The successful candidate will be able to design test strategies, test plans, and test cases from requirements, design documents and specifications and have a thorough working knowledge of developing, maintaining, and executing test scenarios and test cases.
This is an on-site position but will have the ability to work a 9/80 schedule.
Basic Qualifications:
BS degree and 12 - 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 - 13 years of prior relevant experience.
Must have an active Secret Clearance to be considered
Formal test background
Understanding of SQL and/or PL/SQL
Experience with test automation methodologies
Experience with Oracle Solaris, Linux and Windows workstations that comprise the test automation environment
Experience testing Web Applications
NIX and Audit Script Knowledge
Experience creating MIL-STD test documentation
Detail-oriented
Experience creating Requirement Traceability Matrices
Experience with version control systems
Security+ certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with Eclipse, JAWS, Jenkins, Selenium, and Git (gitlab, github) and Subversion
Experience with agile development methodologies, Scrum methodology, and test-driven development
Experience with change control, deployment tools and utilities (Ansible, Docker)
Scripting experience in Java, JavaScript, or Python
Experience working with DevOps to integrate test automation scripts into CI/CD
Ability to juggle competing priorities
Strong attention to detail

Familiarity with modern-day Cybersecurity and Cryptographic Key Management solutions.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $108,550.00 - $196,225.00
