Richard Heath & Associates, Inc. (RHA) is a professional services firm that delivers a broad portfolio of energy efficiency, clean energy, decarbonization and related programs as well as providing technical consulting services to our clients. Our Center for Energy Workforce Advancement (CEWA) supports State and Federal clients, energy utilities, and institutional clients through education, training, and other technical assistance to deliver opportunities to California's hard-to-reach and disadvantaged communities
JOB SUMMARY
The successful candidate has a multi-faceted skillset and proven experience in the world of adult energy education, encompassing strong client management skills, team leadership, demonstrated collaboration with diverse stakeholders, appropriate learning and curriculum design and a reasonable command of building science principles. This position will be responsible for overseeing strategic education and training contracts and providing leadership in driving CEWA's mission within RHA. Candidates should be independent, collaborative and have proven success in motivating and organizing both direct reports and cross-functional teams.
RHA is looking for a candidate with prior experience and existing networks within the energy efficiency industry. The ideal candidate understands State, Federal and Utility policy frameworks and can support RHA in building and expanding our training development and delivery practice as a business partner with our senior leadership and business development teams.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in education or a relevant technical field or equivalent experience
Five years of experience in adult learning and curriculum design, (including leadership roles), with a focus on energy efficiency, weatherization, or building science to include both in-person and eLearning development and delivery with an emphasis on SAM development methods.
Three years of experience managing teams and direct reports
Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS), e-learning platforms, and other educational technology tools to also include Microsoft suite
Strong understanding of building energy performance, energy retrofits, mechanical and electrical systems, and health and safety standards
Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects, manage budgets, and ensure timely delivery of training programs
Strong skills in building and managing relationships with diverse stakeholders, including clients, training partners and industry leaders
Ability to write for different audiences and produce content that is clear, concise, accurate, consistent, and easily understood by the target audience
Well-connected in the California and/or national energy efficiency sector, with an ability to leverage industry networks to support business growth
Pay: $110,000 - $120,000 DOE
