Job Description:
Parsons has immediate openings for Cost Analyst/Scheduling to perform a variety of project control assignments to support our PG&E Infrastructure division. Assists in developing and implementing cost control support and/or in providing planning and scheduling services to engineering, procurement, and construction activities for assigned projects.
We have a role in Chico, CA, this is a hybrid position.
The cost analyst is responsible for the development, analysis, and reporting of cost data. The analyst will guide the PMO, Project Planning and Delivery Team, Program Manager, and Project Managers on the potential impact of spending adjustments.
Report on productivity and cost-tracking / scheduling metrics for engineering and construction firms and internal project management teams.
Extract cost and schedule information from reporting systems and analyze data to report on the status of the project.
Identify the root cause of variances and define future spending in justifiable terms.
Finalize and record total project costs.
Finalize and record total project schedules
Provide regular communication on project cost, schedule, and risk status to project team members and stakeholders.
Ensure that responses to budget and cost requests reflect correct project cost information and stakeholders are in concurrence.
Maintain scope change, contingency release, change order, and journal entry logs.
Maintain written and electronic project documentation and records for the required aspects of the project.
Document Change Order requests, project status, key issues, risks and resolution, priority changes, and approvals.
Provide Project Manager with a monthly report of project costs and/or schedule information. including variance analysis according to an agreed-upon level of detail and prioritization.
Provide Project Team members with a current status report containing schedule and cost information.
Analyze financial results on a monthly basis, providing explanations of significant cost drivers.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience)
5+ years of related work experience.
Experience working in SAP is a plus
Proficient PC skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel)

Salary Range:
$70,500.00 - $123,400.00
