Field Operations Coordinator (CTC) - "W-TRS" Ft. Irwin, California
This position is full time for the V2X Warfighter Training Readiness Solutions (W-TRS) contract at the National Training Center (NTC). This position on the W-TRS contract is located at Fort Irwin, CA in the Mojave Desert approximately forty miles northeast of Barstow, CA.
Job Details:
*V2X has a requirement for Field Operations Coordinator (Manager) with experience in operations, maintenance and overall activities of various separate and unique teams.
*Responsible for coordination and supervision of diverse roles to install/de-install Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System (MILES).
Performs management and supervision of the following areas: the Field Instrumentation Team (FIT) and repair branch (TES Repair), Range Communications System (RCS) and Army Virtual Trainers.
*Is directly responsible to coordinate, and the supervision of sub-contracted operations for rotation integration of instrumented battlefield requirements.
*This responsibility includes accountability of maintenance of devices, vehicles and equipment.
*Responsible for the following: Management, scheduling, maintenance issues, service inspections accountability, installation/de-installation and coordination of the MILES (and or simulation effects equipment) to support the DoD training efforts.
Directly responsible for the coordination, training, and synchronized scheduling for air/ground training units to provide installation/ de-installation of all engagement system required by task order/SOW/SAR.
Responsibilities:
*candidate will be responsible for management and oversight of sub-contractor(s) in the following areas: Range Communication Systems (RCS) to include the RCS vehicle install/de-install and maintenance shop, and the communication system (backbone, handheld repair, remote sites) team.
*This responsibility also encompasses the management of the maintenance and repair of the Army Aviation Data Management System (AADMS).
*Responsible for the Management and oversight of operations and maintenance of the Army's virtual trainers.
*Must have a working knowledge of the procedures and terms applied by U.S. Army in a combat environment for maintenance and configuration of engagement systems.
*Adhere to company and site directives, memoranda, policies and procedures. Support quality/ISO, security and safety training programs
Education:
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or electronics related field. Experience can be considered in lieu of a formal education.
Clearance:
Must be able to obtain a DOD secret clearance
Desired Experience:
Experience at NTC as an observer coach/trainer. Minimum of five (5) years' experience in maintenance and repair of electronics systems is desired. Minimum of ten (10) years management experience in various skill positions is desired. Working knowledge of computer systems and data processing and installation of, and maintenance of NTC-IS is desired.
Required Experience:
Minimum of five (5) year management experience. Experience with MILES warehouse and repair operations is required. Possess a working knowledge of the MILES system; combat vehicles and Ground-to-Air systems. Possess knowledge of the NTC field terrain, preventative maintenance operations, safety issue of MILES installation/de-installation. Experience with the use of MAXIMO and Microsoft Office software products is required. This includes experience associated with the schemes, scenarios and maneuvers applied by the U.S. Army in this training environment toward supporting accurate mission and accomplishment to contractual requirements.
Desired Physical Abilities:
Able to work long hours on a 7-day a week scheduled days, nights and swing shifts, must be able to work in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, wind) and climbing in or on military or commercial equipment.
Communication Skills:
Applicant must demonstrate a solid command (both written and oral) of the English language. Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interface with client representatives on a regular basis. Must be able to listen with comprehension. Problem solving skills; Ability to work with general supervision; ability to arrive to work on time for all scheduled workdays or provide advanced notifications for changes.
Special Requirements:
Possess and maintain a valid California Driver's License and maintain Post driving privileges. Must be fluent in English, with ability to read, write and comprehend technical documentation, schematic and diagrams. Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance. Must be able to lift a maximum of 50lbs and wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Travel may be required to unit(s) home stations(s) to coordinate, manage and support training efforts. May be required to travel CONUS/ OCONUS to support unit training.
