The primary purpose of the HIGH VOLTAGE ELECTRICIAN TRAINING LEADER, WL-2810-10, is to instruct and lead Air Force Civil Engineering personnel in the operation of electrical systems and to perform duties associated with the operation of electrical systems and their components. Requirements Conditions of Employment CALIFORNIA NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in the California National Guard. Qualifications General Experience: Must possess experience or training which demonstrates the knowledge of electrical and electronic principles, procedures, materials, and safety standards governing work on electrical systems. HIGH VOLTAGE ELECTRICIAN TRAINING LEADER, WL-2810-10: Must have 24 months experience or training leading workers in performing trades and labor training assignments with knowledge of methods and techniques of instruction, electrical theory; Experience in the ability to read and comprehend circuit diagrams and schematic; Experience in installing, maintaining, repairing, and modifying high-voltage electrical systems and major substation components of electrical systems; Experience in diagnosing trouble and determining remedy when complex relationships exist among different electrical system circuits requiring knowledge of all electrical units and systems; Experience in making high-voltage electrical repairs that required the use of precision measuring equipment and common hand tools.
