Purpose and Scope:
Perform a variety of requisition and logistics support tasks such as: requestioning materials, identify supply support, configuration management, and data management in support of components, equipment, and/or systems. This is a non-exempt/hourly paid position represented by the Teamsters union. The hourly pay rate is $33.84.
Essential Responsibilities:
1) Input purchase requisitions into procurement data base, research databases to determine technical documentation requirements, reliability, maintainability, and availability; sourcing issues; and configuration impacts.
2) Input new catalog requests for parts and services and make change requests to already cataloged parts and services.
3) Work with potential suppliers in obtaining the proper documentation to get them vetted in the Supplier Management System to become an approved supplier in support of future procurements.
4) Assist with the maintenance of logistics support plans, policies, procedures, and similar data.
5) Work with all departments and employees in support of their procurement needs.
6) Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
High school diploma or equivalent. Requires operating application software including word-processing, spreadsheets, and database programs. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
