Sigma Defense is seeking a talented, former Navy Surface Warfare Officer to join the SMWDC team as a Capability Assessments, Experimentation and Future Requirements Analyst. The candidate must have at least a decade of experience as a qualified Surface Warfare Officer.

Requirements
10+ years of experience as a qualified Surface Warfare Officer.
5+ years of recent experience in technical writing or writing Project Objective Memorandum (POM) issues.
3+ years of recent experience in the acquisition community or with the Government's POM process.
5+ years of experience with Combat Systems; its components and instructions.
5+ years of experience with Command and Control issues, regarding surveillance, engagement, and planning functions required for each of the various numbered fleets.
Experience as a WTI (AMW or ASW/SUW) qualified officer preferred. Aviation Officer Qualification is acceptable.
Experience with Staff and Fleet operations and planning procedures.
Personnel Clearance Level:
Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active, DoD-issued Secret security clearance.
Clearance will be sponsored for the right candidate.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an unspecified field of study.
Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):
Support SMWDC HQ, FFC, CPF, CNSF, and OPNAV in capability assessments across all SMWDC-owned mission area capabilities.
Assist in identifying, reviewing, and recommending solutions to ensure that all requirements are met and the scope facilitates effective program execution.
Develop issue papers supporting future requirements to improve advanced training by conducting assessment of investments that compares POM requirements to actual execution and delivery in the applicable budget year.
Develop plans and programs that will improve war fighting performance and readiness of the surface forces and integrate those requirements into the SEWTC, IPCL, FTW and other formal budgeting plans.
Evaluate, assess, and monitor unit-level mission area readiness and operational capability through direct observation or indirect analysis of performance metrics to support units' preparation for, and completion of the advanced training phase.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000 annually.
