Bring your experience and ideas to be part of the On-Site Quick Response Team (OSQRT) as a technician supporting our maintenance operations at Naval Air Station North Island Diego, California. This position involves heavy maintenance on the CMV-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft. Work is primarily focused on troubleshooting aircraft systems, major installations, damage inspection/evaluation. logistics, and functional testing, and repairs. This position is onsite in San Diego California on, Naval Air Station North Island, and supporting the CMV-22 deployments.
What you'll be doing as a On-Site Quick Response Team (OSQRT) member :
Analyze assigned tasks, identify the logistics requirements for the repairs and, schedule attainable timelines for the repairs.
Ensure the team operates in compliance of applicable safety standards, proper use of PPE and, work efficiently on assigned projects.
Perform maintenance tasks to assist Organizational-Level and Intermediate-Level maintenance with a specific focus on CMV deployments.
Provide Organizational and Intermediate level maintenance support services at the customers locations.
Conduct heavy maintenance tasks on aircraft structures, systems, and sub-systems.
Evaluate damage and perform repairs on, electrical and mechanical repairs, structural and composite materials.
Ensure work performed meets Bell's expectations for the highest levels of safety and quality, and in accordance approved technical publications.
Maintain a positive rapport with the military/government customer.
Work alongside military maintainers when required.
Follow tasking from CMV-22 Detachment Leads, Aviation Maintenance Officers, and Detachment Maintenance Officer or OIC (Officer in Charge).
Qualifications
Skills You Bring To this Role :
4 years experience working on military and/or commercial aircraft, performing heavy maintenance, is required.
Rotary Wing maintenance experience on medium/heavy helicopters. Experience in United States Marine Corps military occupation specialty (MOS) 6116 MV-22 Mechanic, 6156 MV-22 Airframes Mechanic is highly preferred.
Highly experienced United States Marine Corps Helicopter/Tiltrotor Dynamic Comp Mechanic 6132, or equivalent, with extensive knowledge of V-22 Proprotor components Intermediate Level (I-Level) damage evaluation and, repairs. Will be considered.
Ability to work with Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) and follow Temporary Engineering Instructions (TEI).
Ability to evaluate damage using precision measuring tools and perform applicable repair.
V-22 Collateral Duty Inspector (CDI), V-22 Collateral Duty Quality Assurance Representative (CDQAR) experience, or Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) A&P Certification preferred.
Verification of prior military experience is required and documented in the Advanced Skills Management System (ASM) or equivalent systems.
Other relevant extensive aircraft maintenance experience may be considered in lieu of V-22 experience, but competence in Avionics systems fault isolation and repairs must be obtained with in first year of employment.
Must be able to perform operations/functional checks and troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and avionics systems.
Experience with Naval Aviation Maintenance Policies and, proper maintenance documentation procedures.
Candidate must possess the ability and attitude to work in a team environment and must possess good communications and information technology skills.
This position will require travel to other sites in support of maintenance operations.
Applicants selected will be subject to a security pre-screening with a subsequent government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information to be considered for this position.
Active US Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance is preferred.
Selected candidate must be able to obtain a US Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance as condition of employment.
Will be required to deploy in support of the US Navy Carrier Onboard Delivery (COD) mission, both afloat and ashore.

$46,298 - $78,710 per year.
