At Raytheon, the foundation of everything we do is rooted in our values and a higher calling - to help our nation and allies defend freedoms and deter aggression. We bring the strength of more than 100 years of experience and renowned engineering expertise to meet the needs of today's mission and stay ahead of tomorrow's threat. Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.
Raytheon's Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) Procurement team is seeking a uniquely talented leader to fill this challenging and rewarding role. As the ASDS Supplier Agreements Lead, you will be responsible for architecting supplier strategies, for both firm and non-firm demand, related to increasing agreement coverage and utilization; as well as negotiating, executing and managing new and current supplier agreements for ASDS.
What You Will Do:
As the ASDS Supplier Agreements Lead, you will collaborate with Product Commodity and Commodity Strategy Teams, ensuring agreement plans align with the overall ASDS strategy. You will prepare and evaluate Requests for Proposals (RFPs); as well as draft, negotiate, execute and manage agreements with our supply base. Work may include pricing, teaming, terms & conditions and collaborative type agreements along with Memorandums of Understanding and intellectual property licenses. The ASDS Supplier Agreements Lead will also work closely with the ASDS Strategic Proposal Lead supporting and leading agreement strategies, as well as other RFx support (as required) at the proposal phase.
The ideal candidate will possess the right experience, creativity, and instincts to identify opportunities and then shape agreements that are in the best interest of ASDS, our customers, and suppliers by challenging our institutional norms, driving every angle of the deal, and understanding the short-term and long-term impacts to ASDS & Raytheon's collective decisions.
While architecting strategies and negotiations, you will work closely with all stakeholders, inside and outside of Supply Chain (including Programs), to evaluate feedback, ensuring and driving clear alignment. This will require outstanding communication skills - especially the ability to listen and receive stakeholder input, and to communicate complex matters in a straight-forward, simple manner so decisions are well understood and agreed upon.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a university degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain or closely related field or equivalent experience and
5+ years of experience including, but not limited to, contracts and/or subcontract management and overall business experience or an advanced degree in a related field and 3 years relevant experience.
Expertise in negotiating terms and conditions of purchase, agreements, and licenses
Knowledge of and experience in the areas of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), DoD Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplements (DFARS), and related laws and regulations affecting government contracting, including Truthful Cost or Pricing Data (TCPD) Act
Qualifications We Prefer:
Experience in developing and/or managing supplier/partner relationships
Advanced cost and price analysis skills
Ability to effectively and efficiently manipulate and analyze data
Effective communication
Innovative Problem Solving and advanced critical thinking skills
MBA, JD, or advanced degree preferred, but not required
Experience in Government Contracting, either on the sell or the buy side
Experience with executive level presentations and communications
Technical (Engineering) experience or aptitude to gain technical product knowledge
Ability to obtain a DoD SECRET or higher security clearance if required by the business
