PCSI is looking for Warehouse Specialist (Engineering Tech IV) at SWRMC- LLTM. As directed, performs a variety of warehousing duties which require an understanding of the established storage plan. Work involves most of the following: verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages; routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods. This position will report to the Warehouse Specialist Lead/APM and is based at SWRMC- LLTM in San Diego.

What You'll Do as Warehouse Specialist (Engineering Tech IV):
As directed, performs a variety of warehousing duties which require an understanding of the established storage plan.
Work involves most of the following: verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages; routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.
May be requested to finish products for shipment or storage by placing them in shipping containers which may involve one or more of the following: knowledge of various items of stock in order to verify content; inserting enclosures in container; using excelsior or other material to prevent breakage or damage; closing and sealing container; and applying labels or entering identifying data on container.
Perform warehouse functions including receiving, storing, moving and shipping inventory using Material Handling Equipment (pallet jacks and forklifts).
Rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials; examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage; and removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.
Performs clerical and physical tasks in connection with shipping goods of the site in which employed and receiving incoming shipments. In performing day-to-day routine tasks follow established guidelines.
In handling unusual non-routine problems, receives specific guidance from supervisor or other officials.
Reports all accidents/incidents to Lead and designated Government Personnel.
Operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:
High school diploma or GED.
OSHA certified forklift operator.
Two (2) or more years of experience in warehouse operations.
Working knowledge of Navy Supply Operating System (ERP).
Class A CDL preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to utilize normal material handling equipment (MHE) to include pallet jacks, VIDMAR systems and forklifts.
Ability to utilize ERP AIT devices.
Ability to lift, move and set down lightweight parts under 45 pounds without use of MHE.
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
Ability to bend, crouch, stoop, stretch, reach push loaded part carts, boxes of parts, etc. Ability to climb stairs or ladders and work in confined spaces.
Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard.
Must have the hand/eye coordination necessary to operate office business machines (calculator, phone, copier, etc.) and a personal computer.
Ability to expertly communicate both orally and/or in written format.
Ability to follow guidelines to arrange objects or actions in a certain order.
Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
Other Requirements:
Ability to pass criminal, drug, and driving screening.
Ability to work outside in inclement weather as needed and be exposed to various dirt, debris, and odors.
Ability to work any time or day of the week, including weekends and holidays.
Possess valid driver's license and maintain good driving record.
If required, ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s).
