Senior Flight Test Engineer

KBR is proactively seeking a Senior Flight Test Engineer to join our team in Point Mugu, CA. The successful candidate will provide flight test engineering support to the Advanced Sensors Technologies (AST) Program Office (PO). They will serve as the Lead Test and Evaluation process subject matter expert (SME) performing oversight of ground and flight test planning, documentation, execution, scheduling, tracking, analysis, metrics development, verification, and reporting tasks. Additionally, they serve as aircraft platform and sensor system SMEs designing flight tests to determine performance, verify system specifications, characterize system functionality, and to support algorithm development.
Responsibilities:
Lead the development of test plans, flight test descriptions, run sheets, test cards, and test procedures that are accurate, timely and support the test requirements.
Collaborate with program staff, supporting organizations and system-development contractors to efficiently resolve testing plan issues to meet test schedules.
Lead the coordination of test support activities with other DoD and Navy organizations and assets. Lead the coordination of test support activities with national test ranges and other remote sites, execute remote support, collect truth data, and document test events.
Perform evaluation of flight test data by analyzing results, assessing compliance with system specifications, operational requirements, and algorithm development requirements, and accurately presenting the analysis and status in briefs and test reports
Support remote detachments with on-site aircrew briefings, test point tracking, and real-time adjustment of test plans, flight objectives and schedules.
Basic Qualifications
Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen
Security Clearance: Top Secret/SSBI security clearance. Must have completed a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) within the past six (6) years or currently enrolled in the Continuous Evaluation (CE) Program.
Education: A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
Experience: At least 10 years+ of Flight Test Experience, which includes...
Experience in test and evaluation of airborne systems
Demonstrated ability to work with integrated test teams that are comprised of military, civilian, and contractor personnel.
Effective oral and written communication skills
Effective organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Preferred Qualifications
Operational experience with DoD active-duty customers
Advanced Sensor Technologies Program Office experience
Experience in test and evaluation of Navy airborne systems
Travel: Must be able to travel up to 25%.
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week

Compensation: $191,000-211,000. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
