In this role, you have the opportunity to: Continuously review and improve instructions to enhance uniformity and meet quality standards in the manufacturing process. Supports all production programs and work areas to enhance quality inspection methodology while ensuring standardization of process definitions within documented work instructions. Quality planning activities include but are not limited to the creation and maintenance of work instructions, ensuring accurate definitions of inspection criteria to satisfy contractual obligations, as well as engineering drawings and specification requirements. You are responsible for: The creation and on-going development of work instructions, verification and validation, to assure product and process integrity. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate definition of inspection criteria as well as supporting program personnel in the First Article Inspection. You will also provide support to inspection personnel and assembly workers and perform contract reviews as well as drawings and specifications review. Additionally, you will be tasked with preparing for and performing internal ISO/AS audits, Pre-Cap and Source Inspection internally and off-site as customer and supplier. Required Qualifications: B.S. Degree in Engineering preferred with experience in Quality Assurance and/or inspection with 3 years of experience Experience in microelectronics industry, preferably RF/microwave technology - contract reviews - corrective action and process improvement Knowledge of SPC, with ability to monitor and report trends internally and externally (suppliers) Experience with AS9100 Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection Basic knowledge Mil Std 883, and Mil PRF-38534, and Mil Std 105e Knowledge of geometric tolerances and reading blueprints/production drawings, including - Machining symbols - Electrical symbols Physically capable to use high & Low power microscopes and optical comparator Experience with use of inspection gages Basic knowledge of ESD, J-Std-01, IPC-610, IPC-6012 procedures and workmanship standards Computer skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, etc.) Ability to develop, test and inspect plans Preferred Qualifications: Ability to report discrepancies in company system Ability to handle various "form type" documentation - Internal Forms - Customer Forms - Supplier Forms Ability to prioritize daily workload with minimal direction Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to create concise, accurate written documents of high quality Interacts with customers and suppliers in a professional manner Strong organizational skills * Ability to lead and direct others "This position requires you to have or obtain a government security clearance.
